This is the second one I have purchased and I just wanted to let people know this is a slightly revised version. Some things have improved, some things got worse. There are 3 main revisions:

      1. No longer has pull cords on the zips, this is a big step backwards as they were so much quicker to open, plus the new zip tabs make noise as they move around.
      2. The main buckle is not as heavy duty as the previous version.
      3. The rain cover on the original version was much better.

The overall design and functionality remains the same, I do feel that some cost cutting measures have been made to this new version. But for the money, this is still a great bag and I really like it, just wish they had not changed the 3 things I mentioned above.

On a positive note, some of the other buckles are slightly stronger and the stitching on the tripod loop on the side seems to be stronger, this always looked a bit flimsy.

I still highly recommend this bag.

I purchased this as my first camera bag/backpack type … thing. I had used a few of the regular hand carry bags for a while and decided to get this as I am getting more into nature photography and needed something to carry everything while keeping my hands free instead of just tossing it in the car. I will try to go over as much of it as I can.

Durability: It seems well made, and for now I will a give a 4 star rating. Only time will tell if the stitching will hold up to Georgia rains. It does come with a rain fly type thing, but I haven’t had a chance to really test that piece yet.

Easy to use & Comfort: I also gave this part 4 stars. It is nice that I can unclip the smaller strap and swing the entire bag around get access to my camera without worry about dropping anything. For that feature alone it should probably get a minimum of four stars. Once it is setup, it is extremely easy to use.

I gave it 5 stars for comfort. Even with a Canon T6i, a 50mm lens, the 18-55mm Kit lens, a 135mm lens, and a 200mm lens, battery charger, cleaning kit, and everything else, it holds the weight well and after you get the straps properly adjusted you hardly know it’s there. The padding on the shoulder is sufficient, but stiff when new. I am sure after a normal break-in period it will soften up as most new backpacks do.

Now for the one thing that kept it from being great, setting it up: The inner material is some sort of polyester material that is very smooth, and the bright orange I got will make it easy to see even in low light. However, velcro does not stick to polyester. There are some felt patches sewn on the inside to help you organize, but really the way it comes is the only way to set it up. Fortunately have other camera bags to take parts from.

I have an older bag, the one that this bag was purchased to replace, and the inside of that bag is 100% cloth/felt/stuff that is very soft. (I am not an expert on cloth materials). The advantage is that velcro sticks to it quite well. I took one of the large felt/cloth dividers from that bag to make this bag work for me. Having the extra divider that other dividers can stick to was all that was needed. If the manufacture included two more dividers the size of the small one in the middle and replaced the polyester with the same cloth material that other camera bags use this would be an absolute amazing camera bag that would I gladly pay double the price for.

Still, for the price point I gave it 4 stars because it really is a nice bag/pack/thing. I am still not sure what to call a backpack with only one should strap. Shoulder Bag seems too much like a messenger bag. Whatever you call it, it is a good value camera bag that, with some work and ingenuity, can be an amazing bag. I think this setup will work for at least the next year or so as I have a tendency to buy new camera gear in the fall which means my needs change every year or two.

Just right for a recreational photographer. Easy to carry and I love the single strap as it’s versatile for positioning the bag where you want it. I carry it with the bag in front of my chest so I have quick access to my camera for those times I need to access my camera on the fly.

Awesome for the price! I currently use it for my Nikon D3400 and it has enough room to hold not one but THREE lenses! My telephoto, my wide-angle, and a 15-70mm! It also has additional room for another lens at the top as well! The case around it is thin, but there is a lot of padding and my camera has survived various plane trips, tossing-arounds, and projects! Highly recommended for any casual photographer looking for a good quality backpack with need for room!

My husband has already taken the inside padding parts out and re-arranged them (didn’t even realize you could do that!) because we have a zillion things to fit inside here, and while it’s not huge, it’s pretty roomy. He’s happy with it. It seems durable and he says it’s comfortable too.

Extremely versatile and light weight. I use this bag all the time. The size of pockets are perfect for my equipment. The camera location can hold my camera and 2 of my large, most used lenses. The top pocket is for perfect for my flash attachment, and when I am not using it for that, it’s a perfect pocket for my wallet, phone and keys while out shooting. Honestly couldn’t be happier

I wish that I could give 5 stars but it falls just a little short…literally. I wanted a sling bag to keep the camera out of the way while lugging sports equipment, chairs, etc across sports fields. I carry a DSLR with an 18-55 and a 70-300 lens combo on a D3400. While the camera body and 18-55 fit perfectly, none of the compartments are the right fit for the 70-300. I can wedge it in there but the design of the lens compartments is about 10-15mm too short.

On the positive side, the center divider can be removed to allow the camera to nest well with the 70-300 still attached, so that is positive. The upper compartment is a nice extra feature, and I do attach other stuff (hat, umbrella strap) to the clips on the sides.

I have not carried this on vacation but as a hands-freeing bag for sporting events it has done the job far better than a traditional shoulder-style camera bag.

The material appears to be tough and zippers work well. The waist strap could be better positioned to ride/attach closer to the waist. As it is now, I find it useless and don’t use it.
The partitions and outer walls, from the inside, appear somewhat flimsy but overall, they do what they are supposed to do. I have a 70-300mm kit lens along with 1 medium and 1 small lens. No way can you leave the long 70-300 lens attached and still fit the other two. The camera must have one of the smaller lenses attached in order to get the other two lenses to fit. A bit smaller than what I would like but any larger, I guess, would defeat the purpose of a small day bag. It has certainly proven to be worth the money.

Although it is a bit small on me, no doubt that it is designed very well. A buckle on the front to prevent camera items from falling off during decompression. The shoulder strap of the bag is also very good and wide, so even if I put the heavy lens inside, the shoulder strap will not penetrate my shoulder. recommended anyway.
